EMPLOYER SPONSORED VISAS
1) Temporary Skill Shortage (subclass 482)
This visa allows an employer to sponsor a suitably skilled worker for up to 2 or 4 years ,to fill a position that no Australian is suitable to fill to address labor shortages. It comes in various streams with different criteria and conditions.

a) Short Term Stream
This stream allows the employer to sponsor skilled workers for a short period, normally 2 years to work in an occupation listed in the Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL).
b) Medium-Term Stream
This stream allows the employer to sponsor skilled workers for a medium-term period ,that is up to 4 years to work in an occupation listed in Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL) or the Regional Occupation List (ROL
c) Labour Agreement Stream
This stream requires the employer to be holding an approved agreement with the Department of Home Affairs to hire skilled workers from overseas. The occupation required in this visa are not normally listed in the occupation lists but has been identified as shortage. This visa can be up to 4 years of residency in Australia.
d) Subsequent Entrant
This is designed for family members of subclass 482 and 457 visa holders. It allows such visa holders to bring their family to Australia, who can stay for as long as the employer-nominated visa is valid.
2) Skilled Employer-Sponsored Regional (Provisional) Visa (subclass 494)
If you are a skilled worker in an eligible occupation who is willing to work in the regional area with the sponsoring employer for 5 years – this visa is for you!

3) Employer Nomination Scheme (subclass 186)
If you have 3 years of relevant work experience or have been working with your current employer-sponsor or employer for 3 years, and if an employer or current employer is willing to sponsor you on a permanent visa – this visa is for you!

a) Direct Entry Stream
This visa is for you if you are nominated by an eligible Australian employer, and that your occupation is on the list for this stream.
b) Labor Agreement Stream
This is your visa if your nominating employer holds a labour agreement, whilst currently working (457/482 LA), or will be working, for the same employer or employer who is a party to a labour agreement. If you are currently working under SC457/482LA, you will typically need to complete the three (3) years of full-time work for your nominating employer.
c) Temporary Residence Transition Stream
If you are a holder of either 457 or 482 visa, or an associated Bridging visa, but have worked for your nominating employer for at a minimum of three years on a full-time basis, and has an approved nomination from your employer – this visa stream is for you!
